Dear Mission Partners,
Thank you for praying for our Good News Service this past weekend! Twenty seven people received Christ as their Lord and Savior and many people were filled with the Holy Spirit. I also prayed for the sick and many miracles happened. This week I received the healing testimony below from a woman who attended our Good News Service. This woman and her husband randomly decided to leave South Carolina (which is where they live) to get away and ended up at our church on Sunday morning. She states below that she had been dealing with chronic pain for over two years and on Sunday, I prayed for the sick, and the Lord did a miracle in her life,… Read her full story below:
“Two years ago I fell off a 12 foot ladder while working in my garage. It took me a while to move because my elbow had broken in 3 parts and my hip was badly hurt. Since then, I have been taking painkillers: Naproxen twice a day and Flexeril 3 times a day. On Sunday when the pastor [Evangelist Chris Mikkelson] was praying for people to receive healing, I placed my hand right on my hip. At that moment [I] felt a little relief from the pain, but not much. However, after service I was able to drive back home (a 5 hour drive) without stopping to stretch! Slowly the pain has been going away! I haven’t needed or taken my painkillers. I [now] have no pain at all and I can do things I haven’t been able to do for a long time. Yesterday, I went to my physical therapist to show him what I was able to do and he stopped me, saying that I could hurt myself by doing things that advanced. I told him what happened at church, and he said, ‘Well it looks like you got a miracle.’ Glory be to God! Amen!” – Maria, South Carolina
Praise God! As she went, she was healed. Before I ended the service, I told the congregation about the story in Luke 17 where Jesus told the ten lepers to go and show themselves to the priest. The Bible says that, “as they went, they were healed!” – Luke 17:14. Well that’s exactly what happened in this woman’s life and we’re praising God for it! Thank you for standing with us in prayer for healing and miracles to take place all over the world.
God is still in the healing business. He never changes and He’s still healing people today. Recently, I compiled a list of Healing Scriptures that I stand on and often use when praying for the sick and I wanted to share it with you. If you or someone you know is sick, I encourage you to read these verses and stand on God’s promises. Don’t let your current circumstances or your past experiences with healing determine your doctrine. Let God’s word determine what you believe. Have faith for the miraculous and I know you will see mighty miracles in Jesus’ name!
