Dear Partners,

Greetings from South Asia where we just concluded the first night of this four-night Gospel Crusade!  I’m here in a very unreached part of South Asia where Christianity is only about 2% and tonight hundreds of people gathered to hear the Gospel – many for the very first time.

All week we’ve been keeping an eye on the weather and praying for no rain.  Today the forecast was calling for 100% chance of rain.  I’m happy to say that we only had a very light drizzle this afternoon and then the rain stopped.  In fact, I was told that it was raining in all the surrounding villages, but not in the crusade city!  At two points during my message the rain started to come down.  I decided to take a bold step of faith and rebuke the rain on the microphone, telling the rain to stop and both times, the rain completely stopped.  Praise God!  God was surely holding back the rain and I’m sure it was a direct result of many of your prayers.  Thank you!

Tonight I preached on God’s law of salvation for all according to Romans 8:1-2 and the response was overwhelming!  Nearly the entire crowd came forward to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior!  What we’re seeing here isn’t the result of clever messages or arm-twisting, but it’s the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ on full display.  Romans 1:16 says that, “the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation for them that believe.”
