Hi Friend,

I hope your week is going great so far! We’ve been very busy here in Orlando, finalizing all the details for our soon coming SalvationUSA Good News Gospel Crusade, but I wanted to stop and send this short devotional out this morning to encourage and bless you.

Last week on the LIVE broadcast we discussed the topic, “WHY IS THE BLOOD OF JESUS IMPORTANT?” (You can watch it on Facebook here, or YouTube here). Let’s take a few minutes together, and see what the Word of God is saying to us this morning from last week’s broadcast.

In the Bible we read, “but if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7) The word of God says that it’s the very shed blood of Jesus – the crucified and resurrected Son of God – that cleanses us from ALL sin! The only way to have our sins forgiven is by putting our faith in the fact that His blood was the payment for us!

The Bible says in Hebrews 9:22 that, “without the shedding of blood there can be no remission.” When Adam and Eve sinned, they broke the fellowship they had with God and a payment had to be made, so God Himself clothed them with animal skin. I’m sure blood had to be shed for this covering to be made. That animal’s blood was the payment for Adam’s rebellion… But it only was a covering, not a full payment!

We see throughout the rest of the Old Testament that the priests had to continually year after year sacrifice goats and lambs and offer many offerings to atone for sins – all of them through the shedding of blood. These same sacrifices and offerings never fully dealt with the sin issue, they were only temporary, but God had a plan to make atonement for the sin of man once and for all!

God Himself came as the Son of God, Jesus the “Lamb of God”, to make the final atonement for sin through the shedding of His very own blood. He came as a man, lived a perfect, holy and sinless life and then offered up Himself as the sacrifice for the sins of man through His death on the cross! 

Now, because of that sacrifice we can have our sins completely forgiven when we put our faith in Him! Blood was required, and His blood became the full payment for our complete forgiveness! Today we can be made righteous, because His blood paid the price for our righteousness!

His blood cleanses us from all sin! His blood has the power to heal you! His blood has the power to protect you! And His blood has the power to redeem you! Praise the Lord!

I want to encourage you this morning to thank God for the price that he paid for our complete salvation – spirit, soul and body! If you need forgiveness, it’s found in the blood of Jesus! If you need healing, it’s found in the blood of Jesus. If you need protection, it’s found in the blood of Jesus. If you need redemption, it’s found in the blood of Jesus!
